How to use AI Writer
Draft from the papers you have collected
Write sections grounded in your own library, with references drawn from real records rather than invented ones.
Before you start
- • Papers in your library
Steps
- 1
Open AI Writer
Sidebar → AI Writer.
- 2
Pick the section and the sources
Choose which papers from your library the draft may use. The writer only cites those records.
- 3
Draft, then rewrite
Generate a first pass and use rewrite, expand and tighten on individual passages instead of regenerating everything.
- 4
Run the Citation Guardrail
Every reference is verified against Crossref and OpenAlex before it reaches your document.
- 5
Export
Copy out, or export to DOCX or Typst Studio for final formatting.
Tips
- • Write the methods yourself; use the writer for framing, summaries and transitions.
Troubleshooting
A reference cannot be verified
The guardrail blocks it on purpose. Replace it with a record from your library that resolves to a real DOI.
