How to use Electronic Lab Notebook

Record each experiment with a hypothesis, protocol and timestamped procedure log, track reagents, samples and equipment, and export an open, auditable report.

Steps

1. 1

   Open Electronic Lab Notebook

   From the workspace sidebar choose Electronic Lab Notebook. On a phone, open the All menu and tap Electronic Lab Notebook.

   Set up your inputs

   Record each experiment with a hypothesis, protocol and timestamped procedure log, track reagents, samples and equipment, and export an open, auditable report. Start with the smallest realistic input so you can check the output before scaling up.

   Run it

   Run the tool and check the first output: hypothesis, protocol, results and conclusion per experiment.

4. 4

   Review what came back

   Work through the results: timestamped procedure log you append as you work; inventory with quantities, locations, lots and expiry alerts; markdown experiment reports and csv inventory export.

5. 5

   Save or export

   Save the configuration as a preset if you will repeat it, and export the output when you need it outside SciExpert. Your inputs persist across refreshes and sign-ins.

• • Start with a small input, verify the output, then scale up.
• • Save a preset once the configuration works so you can reuse it across papers.
