How to use Open Web & Bibliographic Search

Steps

   Open Open Web & Bibliographic Search

   From the workspace sidebar choose Open Web & Bibliographic Search. On a phone, open the All menu and tap Open Web & Bibliographic Search.

   Set up your inputs

   Privacy-first metasearch across dozens of engines alongside bulk metadata from the Semantic Scholar and PubMed open APIs. Start with the smallest realistic input so you can check the output before scaling up.

   Run it

   Run the tool and check the first output: searxng metasearch with instance fallback.

   Review what came back

   Work through the results: semantic scholar and pubmed bulk metadata; one-hop citation graph expansion; save any hit straight to your library.

   Save or export

   Save the configuration as a preset if you will repeat it, and export the output when you need it outside SciExpert. Your inputs persist across refreshes and sign-ins.
