How to use Research Gap Finder

Analyses recent work on a topic and proposes population, methodological and theoretical gaps, each with a concrete next study.

Steps

   Open Research Gap Finder

   From the workspace sidebar choose Research Gap Finder. On a phone, open the All menu and tap Research Gap Finder.

   Set up your inputs

   Analyses recent work on a topic and proposes population, methodological and theoretical gaps, each with a concrete next study. Start with the smallest realistic input so you can check the output before scaling up.

3. 3

   Run it

   Run the tool and check the first output: focused on the most recent years of literature.

4. 4

   Review what came back

   Work through the results: gaps grouped by population, method and theory; concrete follow-up study suggestions; markdown export for your proposal.

5. 5

   Save or export

   Save the configuration as a preset if you will repeat it, and export the output when you need it outside SciExpert. Your inputs persist across refreshes and sign-ins.

• • Save a preset once the configuration works so you can reuse it across papers.
