How to use Risk of Bias & GRADE

RoB 2, ROBINS-I, QUADAS-2 and evidence profiles

Run the standard bias instruments domain by domain and build a GRADE evidence profile or summary-of-findings table from your judgements.

Before you start

  • Full texts of the included studies

Steps

  1. 1

Open Risk of Bias & GRADE

Sidebar → Risk of Bias & GRADE.

  2. 2

    Pick the right instrument

RoB 2 for randomised trials, ROBINS-I for non-randomised studies, QUADAS-2 for diagnostic accuracy.

  3. 3

    Answer the signalling questions

Work domain by domain with the full text open; the tool derives the domain judgement from your answers.

  4. 4

    Build the GRADE profile

Rate down for risk of bias, inconsistency, indirectness, imprecision and publication bias to produce a summary of findings table.

  5. 5

    Export the assessment

Download the traffic-light table and the evidence profile as PDF or CSV.

Tips

  • Save a checklist preset so the same instrument and rationale wording is reused across studies.
